Celebrating Year 6 of ArtistsInspire!

The ELAN ArtEd team would like to offer a big thank you to the schools, teachers, artists and organizational partners who worked so hard to foster student creativity and make Year 6 of ArtistsInspire a success! Throughout the 2024-25 school year, ArtistsInspire Grants facilitated:

  • 270 grants in 138 public English schools across Quebec,
  • 67 Teaching Artists in leading one or more ArtistsInspire Grants,
  • Over 33,219 students in developing their creativity through Arts & Culture experiences with a Professional Artist.

With the majority of schools giving both the Artist’s facilitation and the project administration 5 out of 5* ratings, the ArtEd Team is delighted with the success of Year 6 of ArtistsInspire. Teachers’ feedback remarked on:

  • Artists’ ability to connect with and inspire students,
  • Artists’ ability to collaborate with teachers on curriculum goals, and
  • The ArtEd team’s prompt and helpful support, from connecting with Artists to completing the feedback process.

Excited about Year 7 of ArtistsInspire? Applications are already open for the 2025-26 school year! Educators can view our Artist Profiles to connect with Artists to plan and book their school’s ArtistsInspire experience. New artists and an updated workshop catalogue for 2025-26 will be announced in August 2025.

ELAN’s ArtEd Team is happy to speak with you about how connecting with the Arts & Artists can make a difference for teachers, students and schools. For more information, contact project manager Louise Campbell at elanarted@quebec-elan.org to explore your interests and get recommendations on artists who would connect well with your needs.

Thank you once again for all the work and dedication you put into fostering students’ creativity! We look forward to collaborating with you in Year 7 of ArtistsInspire.
